Case Study

AMERICAN TUNGSTEN CORP

In late 2024, Nordic Investor Network began its collaboration with American Tungsten Corp. to strengthen the company’s visibility among European and Scandinavian investors and to clearly communicate the strategic importance of its flagship IMA Tungsten Project in Idaho, USA. American Tungsten is focused on advancing one of the most compelling near-term domestic tungsten opportunities in North America, at a time when secure supply of critical minerals has become a strategic priority for governments and industry alike.

American Tungsten’s core asset, the past-producing IMA Mine, represents a rare opportunity to restart domestic tungsten production in the United States. Tungsten is designated as a critical mineral by the U.S. government, with no meaningful domestic production since 2015 and heavy reliance on imports. Recent geopolitical developments and export controls have further underscored the importance of rebuilding secure, Western-aligned supply chains for strategic metals such as tungsten.

Nordic Investor Network initiated its engagement with American Tungsten through comprehensive research and due diligence, focusing on both company-specific fundamentals and the broader macroeconomic and geopolitical drivers supporting the tungsten market. Key elements of the investment thesis included the brownfield nature of the IMA Mine, existing underground infrastructure, historical production, ongoing high-grade drilling and sampling results, and the company’s progress toward securing non-dilutive project financing.

To effectively communicate this opportunity to a Scandinavian audience, we designed a targeted public relations and investor outreach strategy. This included refining the company’s messaging to clearly articulate the strategic importance of tungsten, the project’s near-term development potential, and American Tungsten’s positioning as a potential leader in the re-establishment of U.S. domestic supply.

As part of this effort, Nordic Investor Network refreshed investor-facing materials to improve clarity, visual appeal, and data-driven storytelling, ensuring alignment with the expectations of European investors. We facilitated interviews and written commentary featuring company leadership to address key investor questions around permitting, funding, and development timelines, helping to demonstrate transparency, discipline, and long-term vision.

To further strengthen engagement, Nordic Investor Network organized investor presentations and webinars focused on macro trends in critical minerals, U.S. government support mechanisms, and recent technical progress at the IMA Mine. These sessions provided investors with direct access to management and allowed for in-depth discussion of operational updates, funding pathways, and strategic milestones.

American Tungsten is a North American mining company focused on the acquisition, advancement, and development of high-potential tungsten assets. The company’s flagship asset is the IMA Mine in Idaho, a past-producing underground tungsten operation with extensive existing infrastructure, patented mining claims, and a history of high-grade production.

The IMA Mine is located in a stable, mining-friendly jurisdiction with established access to power, roads, and water. Ongoing underground drilling and channel sampling have confirmed the presence of high-grade tungsten-silver mineralization across multiple vein systems, supporting the potential for resource expansion and future mine restart scenarios. In addition to primary mineralization, historical tailings and surface zones present potential secondary upside, subject to further technical evaluation.

American Tungsten has also made meaningful progress toward securing project-level funding, including the announcement of a Letter of Interest from the U.S. Export-Import Bank for potential financing to support mine development and processing infrastructure. This development highlights the strategic relevance of the project within the context of U.S. critical minerals policy.
